Our amazing volunteers are committed to helping others. We work in the community and also through social media to collect items of the most need to the family and/or area we are working to support.
Our current project is collecting and dispersing Hurricane Michael Donations to Mexico Beach and all of Gulf County.
Our President/Founder Shannon Gibbs McArdle is a Wakulla High School Alumni. She started college at Florida State University with a degree path in medicine. During her time in Tallahassee she worked as a Legal Assistant for the General Counsel of the Florida Department of Education. Life moved her to North Carolina and then Savannah, Georgia where she continued her education in Nursing while also working for Gulfstream Aerospace. Shannon later moved back home to Gulf County in 2011 and received her degree from Gulf Coast State College. After 5 years working in the funeral industry she felt led to form To You With Love Nonprofit in 2017 to assist terminally ill children with rare diseases. Her experience in the medical field and death care have given her a different perspective when parents are facing the final days of their terminally ill child’s life. Shannon also serves as a Gulf County firefighter and Public Information Officer for Gulf County Fire & Emergency Services. This has allowed her the unique ability to make contacts with others that have been wonderful assets during the aftermath of Hurricane Michael. After spending the first week of the storm working out of the EOC with the Fire Department, she currently spends her days working for To you With Love to market the individual and specific needs of those in Gulf County and Mexico Beach while personally delivering supplies to those in need.
Our Vice President Jarrod McArdle is a Port St. Joe High School Alumni and a firefighter for the City of Port St. Joe Fire Department and Gulf County Fire & Rescue with over 10 years of service. He previously served with EMS for over 8 years and as SWAT Medic. He holds a State of Florida Paramedic License and Nationally Certified Firefighter II. He has advanced training in many areas in the medical field, fire rescue, wildland firefighting, and Coast Guard maritime firefighting. Some of these courses include instructor level certifications. He has worked diligently to receive these higher level certificates for the sole purpose of volunteering to assist his community with the highest level of training possible as there are only volunteer fire departments in Gulf County. Jarrod is employed by Eastern Shipbuilding as a First Class Shipfitter.
Our secretary Jody Gibbs is a Port St. Joe High School Alumni, and Florida State University Alumni. She graduated from FSU in Panama City with her Bachelors in Elementary Education, and furthered her education at FSU in Tallahassee to receive her Masters in Behavioral Exceptionalities. She has spent her life volunteering within the school system and other youth events including 4H. She has since retired from Wakulla County School System after many years of service as a volunteer, paraprofessional and teacher. She continues her volunteer work through To You With Love to continue to make an impact in the lives of children and their families, most especially children with special needs.
Marlaina Chachin was our previous lead volunteer. After a move out of state we are not able to see her. We miss her dearly and continue to check in on her. She was a huge asset to To You With Love during our formative time and she has been greatly missed.
Our organization was formed in 2017 with the purpose of providing assistance to special need families. From October 2017 to May 2018 we worked with several families of terminally ill children to provide them with many items needed via Amazon Gift Registries. During the summer of 2018 we became more involved in our community providing one-on-one assistance to those with special needs. When Hurricane Michael hit our hometown on 10/10/2018 we went into action to get items most needed for those who are without. Currently we are still working to help with the long term recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael.
